Basic ADA Training Chapters 7 and 8
Join us for Disability Communication Access Board's next basic ADA training that focuses on chapters 7 and 8.
Chapter 7 session shall include elements regarding general communication elements and features under the ADA guidelines. Communication elements and features include fire alarms, signage, braille signs, symbols, telephones, two-way communication systems and listening assistive systems. Every element shall include the minimum ADA standards as required by the Department of Justice ADA 2010.
Chapter 8 session shall include elements regarding special rooms, spaces, and elements under the ADA guidelines. Special rooms, spaces and elements include wheel chair spaces, companion seating, dressing and fitting rooms, kitchens, medical care and long-term care facilities, transient lodging guest rooms, holding cells and housing cells, courtrooms, residential dwelling units, transportation facilities, and storage. Every element shall include the minimum ADA standards as required by the Department of Justice ADA 2010.
