Kraig is ICCʻs regional manager for the west coast and has been Hawaiiʻs Building Code liaison to the National ICC organization which we have supported throughout the 30+ years that Kraig has been convening in Hawaii, at our building industry Expos, holding code seminars for various disciplines, and monitoring our State Legislative measures during Session.
This Legislative Session Kraig has closely followed our legislatures HB 2089 HD2 SD1, which was to increase the current code cycle from 3 years to a 6 year cycle.
Come listen as Kraig will delve into the details of the proposed legislation and address both supporters of the code and those with differing perspectives. Having meticulously reviewed all testimonies, he will share insights and key takeaways.

Kraig is the Senior Regional Manager for a six-state region, managing governmental policy and technical code administration affairs in the northwest, arctic and pacific island states. Liaison to the ICC Chapters and members in the region to assist them to best participate in the association’s programs and to receive ICC services and membership benefits. Directing, advising upon, and devising implementation plans for state code adoption and legislative strategies, and advising state and local elected officials and appointed state agency officials on public safety and public policy affairs and initiatives compliant with state statutes and administrative agency rules.
