The primary goal of this presentation is to provide architects and steep slope designers information to ensure their steep slope roofing system will perform as expected. This course will teach the differences between steep slope shingle designs and different asphalt types. You will be able to identify how polymer modified asphalt can contribute to a healthier environment and a longer life cycle when compared with oxidized shingle products. We will teach you the different components that go into a roofing system and provide some samples for you to review. There is also a brief review of code requirements and steep slope installation recommendations.
