Talk on Architectural Conservation
We’re excited to invite you to a special panel discussion celebrating the release of the book Architectural Conservation in Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands: National Experiences and Practice.
This event, which will also feature an accompanying exhibition, promises to be an engaging and thought-provoking conversation on contemporary conservation theory and practice.
Our panel will be led by our Dean, William (Bill) Chapman, who is one of the book's authors, and will include a respectable group of local experts:
- Alison Chiu, Associate, FAI Architects
- Kiersten Faulkner, FAICP, Executive Director, Historic Hawai‘i Foundation
- Don Hibbard, Ph.D., Architectural Historian
- Glenn Mason, FAIA, Vice President, Mason Architects Inc.
These distinguished practitioners and scholars will share their unique insights into the current landscape of architectural conservation, offering a rich perspective on how our regional efforts fit into the global context.
This event also highlights the University of Hawaii's School of Architecture’s new Historic Preservation program, underscoring our commitment to advancing both research and practice in this important field.
We’d love for you to join us and be part of this stimulating discussion.
